I know it may seem strange to create a permissions post for a character without any supernatural abilities, but the truth of the matter is that this is much more a request than permissions post proper. Bringing Sherlock to games isn't always easy, mostly due to one major problem: I am not Sherlock Holmes.
More to the point, to write him I require a degree of knowledge about what your character is doing and thinking that I simply don't have unless you tell me. Furthermore, while Sherlock doesn't much care about stepping on toes, I do — I don't want to reveal anything about your character you'd rather not be known.
To that end I have another limitation: I simply can't consume all the media from which your characters are drawn to the same depth that you must to play them. Even if I could, there's a fair chance I wouldn't care to, which I don't think is a failing on my part.
In any case, those concerns taken into account, here are my requests:
1. If there is anything you would rather Sherlock not be able to see or not reveal about your character, please let me know. Comment here, contact me some other way, whatever you like. If there's anything that might prevent him from reading them or deducing things about them, please also tell me that.
2. I appreciate links to wikis or apps, but for general history I don't mind doing my own research. I won't ask you to fill out anything in this regard unless you'd like to. However, I do request that when we're threading together, you give me some prompting, either ic in prose/flavourtext or ooc via any method whether or not Sherlock might be able to read what your character is feeling, where they've been, etc. I hope this isn't too much to ask. It doesn't have to be elaborate, either; you don't have to hold my hand. I've been playing Sherlock in games for a long time; I can handle most of what you might throw at me, one way or another. I just don't want to assume things that end up being untrue or irritating to you. This is only intended to help things run more smoothly.
Thank you for taking the time to read. Don't worry if you don't have anything to respond or you don't know how to accommodate my requests; it's not a major issue and I won't be upset. I look forward to playing with all of you regardless.

In all respects Vinnie is very much a typical American college student. He does however have bags and bags of trauma coming from the Slender Man and the Rake, which probably manifest similarly as someone who has been victimized by stalking.
He also has a slowly growing phobia of the mansion, which he refers to as the house. This is partly because of the connection his series has to the very trippy book House of Leaves. As he stays in Wonderland he will come to see the mansion as sentient and malicious.
Sherlock has permission to use any of this information as the situation requires. (It'll do Vincent some good to get shaken up too!)
thanks for the cool post!
