Philip || [personal profile] radiopalkiller

Sherlock is allowed to see and reveal as much as he can about Philip, but these days there are few things about him that still hint at his history/condition. Here is a canon link in any case and here is a link to his current abilities, even though I currently don't think they'd come into play in any way.

Their history in a very small nutshell was this:
- Sherlock used several evasive means to investigate a very private and personal matter of Philip's. They didn't part on the worst of terms, but there was certainly no love lost between them.

Their history in a slightly larger nutshell:
- Sherlock was very good friends (or Sherlockian equivalent thereof) with Philip's girlfriend (Evelyn Carnahan from The Mummy)
- Out of boredom Sherlock once analysed DNA samples from all/most Wonderland residents. Both Philip and Evie acted evasive about Philip's sample, given that Philip is not entirely human. Sherlock took this as a cue to steal a sample from him during an event.
- (Here is an information post on that, though since his last update most of these issues no longer apply.)
- Sherlock confronted Evelyn, who refused to reveal more and told Sherlock not to investigate. Taking the hint about as well as you'd think Sherlock used his knowledge of Polyjuice Potion obtained during a Harry Potter event to transform himself into Evelyn
- In the disguise of Evelyn he confronted Philip and found out more about Philip's condition - his virus - and obtained more samples which allowed him to isolate the virus from his blood.
- (While Sherlock was in that disguise Philip was also responsible for Sherlock's first kiss in Wonderland, which really doesn't pertain to anything, but made me laugh when I remembered it just now)
- Evelyn eventually convinced Sherlock to hand any samples and research he'd collected on the virus over to her and stop investigating, which he finally did.
- (Although that may have had something to do with the slight twinge of guilt he felt for getting Evelyn killed by Moriarty.)
- (Which also did very little to endear Philip to him.)

Philip has since been cured ("cured", really) of the virus and doesn't hold such an emotionally loaded view of Sherlock's research and investigation anymore, so he may very well be considerably less hostile than he used to be, but there is a past between them (which would likely be obvious during an encounter) and he will not share specifics unless suitably prompted.

I hope that helped any, let me know if there is anything else you need.

Here is the plot of the movie and here is the historical duke I occasionally use to pad his background, though those two are by no means identical. Sherlock is permitted to deduce and declare anything of interest he can find, I'll try to adorn my tags accordingly, let me know if you ever have any further questions.
